Buttonczech is an annual tournament in competitive fighting games with a long tradition, which offers its entrants a unique experience in one of Europe's most beautiful cities. Each year players from all around Europe (and even other continents) gather in Prague in order to compete.
History of Buttonczech starts in the year 2013, when a small tournament of this name was held in a Czech town Prostějov. However, it was not until 2016 when Buttonczech moved to Prague and grew into an international event. In 2017, Buttonczech was part of the official ZOWIE Fighter qualification series by Benq. After another successful run in 2018, we are now moving to new venue to be able to host ever-growing number of competing players.
The tournament is organized by the Czech fighting gaming community and backed by Czech Arcade z.s., non-profitable association who strives towards improving, promoting and organizing or co-organizing open tournaments in fighting games in Czech Republic and Slovakia and who held official Czech tournaments in games like Tekken 7, Mortal Kombat X, Injustice 2, and SoulCalibur 6.
